Requirements Specification for Online Admission System

Student Admissions is the process in which all applicants to The University they apply for admission. starts with the completion of student admission form by the perspective student through the manual university admission department [1], the student may print and download the form and also come directly from the university. The second stage will be the University Admission Department will review and consider the application for admission and it will check that all the prerequisite and required information which is mandatory is provided or not, also the documentation required with the form just like degree and certificates required are attached with the form or not. [1]. This paper describes an approach to writing Requirements specification for online admission system at Alquds Open University as an example. The requirements should unify the key members involved in an efficient manner while automating as much of the process as possible, the system requirements and specification culminated in a well-rounded, which make the implementing system to allows students, admissions staff and tutors alike an easy method of applying for and reviewing applications for the Alquds Open University. If used and improved, this should speed up the current process considerably, remedying many of the current problems encountered.

The main significance of this portal is to present an online access portal that supports back end management for enforcement authorities twenty-four hours daily. This portal provides services that community members can observe and interact about the progress of many troublesome complaints which distracting their district and state representative can supervise and take action towards particular government agencies that responsible in handling community’s complaints. The services provided in this portal can enhance the way of relevant government agencies managed the complaint and state representative be more alert and responsible on each complaint that has been issued. This portal also indirectly will improve the relationship between the state representative and local community. The development of this web portal consists of nine modules. There are my profile, announcement, discussion, complaints, directory, message board, crime prevention tips, report and analysis. All of this module have different role and bring different benefit to the community. This paper will describe about these modules in details.
