Bugs’ White Water Rapids is a flume water ride in Spassberg at Six Flags Fiesta Texas. Bugs’ White Water Rapids is themed after the 1958 episode of Looney Tunes called Knighty Knight Bugs.
The queue takes place in the Black Knight’s Castle, where Bugs Bunny acts as a court jester who must reclaim the Singing Sword. On the ride, riders will experience snippets of the episode’s story, where Bugs Bunny fights Yosemite Sam as the Black Knight and his pet dragon.
The ride begins after riders leave the station, make a few turns around the castle, and go up a chain lift hill. The hill leads to the first drop, which is small, only wetting the riders in the first row. This drop leads to a themed area, where riders encounter Bugs Bunny and Yosemite Sam during a sword fight. Next to them is Sam’s pet dragon, which sprays water at the riders as they pass by.
Riders go up a second chain lift hill which leads to a short ride around the river and eventually brings riders to the third and final chain lift hill. After this hill, riders drop 30 ft in a catch pool, causing all riders to get splashed. After the drop, riders will see Yosemite Sam riding his dragon and wielding his lance. Riders then make a U-turn and return to the station, ending the ride.
Bugs’ White Water Rapids operates from opening day (January 1st) through the end of Fright Fest (October 31st). During Holiday in the Park (November 1st-December 31st), the ride is closed, and the queue becomes “Santa’s Castle,” where guests can meet Santa Clause.
